Kathleen D. Espiritu has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting providing tax compliance, planning and consulting services to closely-held businesses, nonprofits and high net worth individuals. She has extensive experience with taxation of multistate and multinational companies across a variety of industries, including real estate, healthcare, professional service, retail, distribution and manufacturing. She has also assisted with provision for income tax (ASC 740) and uncertain tax position (ASC 740-10) disclosures for audited financial statements, as well as tax analysis related to business entity selection, reorganization, and mergers and acquisitions. Kathleen’s experience with international tax matters includes cross-border transactions, withholding tax matters, inbound and outbound structuring, PFICs, GILTI, FDII and with matters known as the voluntary disclosures and streamline procedures programs offered by the IRS.
She represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service, the California Franchise Tax Board and other state taxing authorities.

Kathleen is a graduate of University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting and has a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
