Chris is the senior managing tax principal of Redwitz, Inc. He has been overseeing all areas of the tax practice since June 1987.

Experience

Chris has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of taxation, including tax strategies, audit representation and tax compliance. He has experience dealing with closely-held corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts and high net worth individuals.

Upon graduation, Chris went to work for the California State Board of Equalization as a sales tax auditor. The time spent, although only a couple of years, was great experience that he has used over the years when dealing with the various government agencies on behalf of his clients. From 1982 until 1987 Chris worked for a local CPA firm in Newport Beach specializing in taxes.

Education

Chris received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from California State University, Long Beach in 1980.

Professional & Community Involvement

Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of CPAs. Starting in 2012, Chris became a SALT core team leader of AGN International. As a SALT core team leader, he assists in coordinating various educational programs regarding State and Local Taxes throughout the United States.

Personal

Chris was born in Kansas and moved to California at the age of 9. He has lived in Orange County ever since. Chris enjoys the California lifestyle including surfing whenever he gets the chance. He currently resides in Dana Point with his wife (married since February 1976) and youngest son Nathan.
