Chris is the senior managing tax principal Redwitz, Inc. He has been overseeing all areas of the tax practice since June 1987.
Chris received his Accounting degree in 1980 from California State University at Long Beach. Upon graduation he went to work for the State Board of Equalization as a sales tax auditor. The time spent, although only a couple of years, was great experience that he has used over the years when dealing with the various government agencies on behalf of his clients. From 1982 until 1987 Chris worked for a local CPA firm in Newport Beach specializing in taxes. Chris has over 30 years experience in all aspects of taxation including tax strategies, audit representation and tax compliance. He has experience dealing with closely held corporations, s corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts and high net worth individuals.
Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of CPAs. Starting in 2012 Chris became a SALT core team leader of AGN International. As a SALT core team leader he assists in coordinating various educational programs regarding State and Local Taxes throughout the United States.
Chris was born in Kansas but moved to California at the age of 9. He has lived in Orange County ever since. Chris enjoys the California lifestyle including surfing whenever he gets the chance. He currently resides in Dana Point with his wife (married since Feb 1976) and youngest son Nathan.
